Looking Back at Founder’s Day 2024

We honored and celebrated Profesor Alassanne Mbaye’s years of dedicated
service to GFA with an informal potluck supper. Student performances
included a unique fashion show of apparel crafted from Spanish textbooks,
recitations, and African drums!

Looking Back at Founder’s Day 2023

In honor of our school’s 40th anniversary year, we celebrated our school’s
founder and first Headmaster with an informal potluck supper complete
with a nostalgic (albeit silent and online) auction.
We had Paeltz, Performances, Presentations, a Potluck, and Prizes!

It was “Gobs of Fun!”

Watch the Stream

We celebrated Founder’s Day on November 13, 2021 through two virtual streams. You can watch both in a combined video available here:

In this video, you can:

  • Enjoy recorded performances from GFA students from all over the school
  • Hear from GFA alumni sharing how this special school helped to prepare them for their careers
  • Test your knowledge with GFA trivia, animated by a Form III student
  • Listen to two live talks from Mr. Philip Paeltz, the school’s founder and first headmaster, as he shares some thoughts for our GFA extended family (and interviews his own bobblehead)!
